Parker House Rolls

Your friends and family might not remember what your entree, but they will always remember your homemade Parker House Rolls!

  • 2 pkgs dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water, 110º
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 T. butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup dry milk
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled for brushing the tops of the rolls


  1. In the bowl of a bread maker, add all of the ingredients. Set on "dough only". Start.

  2. Preheat oven to 425º.

  3. Lightly oil 12 muffin pans; set aside.

  4. When the dough is ready, lightly flour a Silpatº, place the dough on it, lightly flour.

  5. Roll out to a 1/2" thickness.

  6. Brush with melted butter.

  7. With a pastry wheel, cut the dough into 1 1/2" X 2" rectangles.

  8. Stack 4-5 pieces and place into prepared muffin tins.

  9. Cover with a clean dish towel.; Set aside in a draft-free place for 30 minutes.

  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Watch carefully so they won't burn!

  11. Lightly brush with melted butter.

  12. Serve while hot!
